Home
For this project I decided to work in a place that is personal to me. I chose to photograph my house in Mexico because it is the place where I lived for 13 years. The specific place in the house is like a living room. This particular place is one of my favorites in the house because I like the light that illuminates the place during the evenings and also because at that time it is the quietest throughout the day. So I decided to focus on the natural light that illuminates this place. I also wanted to show the type of architecture as rustic that the place is made of and show its warm colors.
The colors that surround the place are warm and when illuminated by natural light, the color stands out more. I wanted to show the natural light that came through the window and the colors of the place because I feel it creates a warm and calm environment. I find this place very calm, quiet and relaxing, so I tried to show that in my photos. I wanted the images to see something minimalist so I decided to decorate the place in a minimalist way. The place has a rustic look and in my opinion it makes you feel comfortable. Especially at that time of day because the sun's rays enter directly through the window illuminating the wood creating warm colors. When editing, I also wanted to create warm colors to create a slightly more "aesthetic" image.
